Be a Good Guest: Exhibitor Edition
As an exhibitor, you play a key role in shaping the environmental impact of MWC. By becoming a Good Guest, you commit to thoughtful, responsible choices that support the event, the city, and the planet.
Support MWC’s sustainability goals – lead by example.
Adopt the Right Mindset & Plan Sustainably
Sustainability starts with intention. From the moment you begin planning until the final day of the event, every decision matters.
- Design responsibly: Use reusable, recyclable, or upcycled materials in your booth.
- Cut the clutter: Avoid single-use plastics and limit unnecessary giveaways.
- Source smart: Work with local partners and prioritize eco-certified suppliers.
Thoughtful preparation leads to meaningful impact — plan with purpose.
Use the Sustainable Project Manager Checklist as your guide to create a truly green booth experience.
Travel Smart & Lead in Transportation Responsibility
Make sustainability part of your journey. Choose low-impact travel options to help reduce emissions and support MWC’s environmental goals.
- Use the MWC Free Public Transport Pass to move around the city with ease.
- Encourage your team to carpool, travel by train, or book non-stop flights to minimise carbon output.
- Opt for airlines with offset programmes to balance your travel footprint.
- Favour shared and public transport throughout the event.
Every sustainable choice counts — start with how you get here. More information available soon.

Think Energy, Act Efficiently
Energy matters — for your booth, your brand, and the planet. Make conscious choices to reduce your energy footprint:
- Use LED lighting for low-energy, high-impact visibility.
- Power down screens and equipment when not in use.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source energy-efficient technologies and solutions.
Small changes lead to big savings — for both the environment and your operations.
Manage Waste With Care
Help us keep MWC clean and sustainable by disposing of waste responsibly:
- Sort and clear waste daily: Ensure all trash and debris is removed from your stand and surrounding area each day during both build-up and dismantling phases. Full waste management guidelines here
- Separate materials correctly: Use the designated bins to properly dispose of recyclables, general waste, and food waste. More info on waste separation here
Every action counts — let’s reduce, reuse, and recycle together.
Leave a Lasting Positive Impact. Inspire and Engage.
Engage your visitors with your sustainability story — show how your brand truly walks the talk.
Why It all Matters
Being a Good Guest is about showing respect:
To our host city, Barcelona;
To the event we’re shaping together, MWC;
And to the one home we all share, our planet.
Bring It to Life: Be a Good Guest
- Before the Event: Review the sustainability guide, complete your checklist, and plan for donation logistics.
- On-site: Operate your booth sustainably— conserve energy, sort waste, use sustainable materials, and make your green actions visible.
- At Dismantling: Donate items in the Donation Room and leave your space waste-free.
- After the Event: Share your sustainability results (e.g., items donated, energy saved) to inspire future exhibitors.
Every thoughtful choice, no matter how small, contributes to a greater collective impact. When thousands of exhibitors act responsibly, we create meaningful change — together.
General Sustainable Practices

MWC26 Barcelona will be a Carbon Neutral event by offsetting 100% of its emissions with reduction and absorption projects and compliance with internationally recognized standards (VCS-VERRA, Gold Standard, ACR, among others). The neutrality will be verified by the ISO 14068-1 neutrality standard, respecting the principle of the hierarchy of emission reduction, emission abatement and offsetting (in previous years, the event's neutrality has been verified by the international standard PAS 2060).
